Bet and Fred are a lovable couple, but we soon learn that business is not their forte. Their independent betting shop attracts lots of exciting and memorable characters from all walks of life. Stevie Helps’ The Betting Shop focuses around four mothers doing their best to cope under difficult circumstances, but don’t expect it to be all doom and gloom in this colourful, fast-paced and rough-around-the-edges London bookies with a conscience.
‘The Betting Shop’ comes hot out of the kitchen sink of Award Winning Writer/Director Stevie Helps. The brand new play premiered to sold out audiences at The Lowry in January 2019. No Egos Theatre Productions proudly return to Footlights House following Helps’ 2018 production of ‘Happyminds Hospital’.
